Therapy for children, families, women, and the whole person.

Bar Zafrany, LMFT

Sometimes life feels like too much.

Maybe your child is struggling and you aren’t sure what they need. Maybe your family feels stuck in the same patterns. Maybe you’re a woman navigating changes in your body, chronic pain, endometriosis, anxiety, or simply trying to find your way through a new season of life.

Or maybe you just know that something feels different, and you’re ready for support.

I’m Bar Zafrany, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist based in Woodland Hills, California. I work with children, teens, families, and women, with a particular interest in the ways our relationships, experiences, bodies, and environments shape how we feel.

Therapy isn’t about fixing one isolated part of you. It’s about understanding the bigger picture and creating space for something to change.

A Place to Feel Understood

Therapy should feel like a place where you can slow down, be honest, and make sense of what you're experiencing without judgment. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that people make sense when we understand their stories, relationships, environments, and experiences. Whether I'm working with a child, a parent, a family, or a woman navigating her own challenges, I want you to feel understood—not analyzed.

Author & Storyteller

My work with children doesn’t only happen in the therapy room.

I’m also the author of Nova’s Wild Adventure, a children’s book inspired by my love of imagination, curiosity, storytelling, and the experiences that help children grow.

Writing for children has given me another way to connect with young people and families—and another opportunity to create something meaningful beyond the therapy room.

Something New Is Growing

I’m currently continuing my training in equine-assisted therapy and developing future equine-based programs.

These offerings are still in development, but I’m excited about creating opportunities for therapy, learning, connection, and growth in a different kind of environment.

Meet Bar

I’m Bar Zafrany, LMFT.

My work began with children, adolescents, parents, and families, and over the years my clinical interests have continued to grow.

Today, I bring together my background in child and adolescent development, family therapy, trauma work, women’s mental health, and mind-body approaches.

I’m also an author, and writing Nova’s Wild Adventure has given me another creative way to connect with children and families.

At the center of it all is the same thing: helping people feel more understood and better supported in the lives they’re actually living.
